We are making a change to worship and will offer communion during some of our live-zoom services. Pastor Becky provides an introduction and instruction on preparing your wine and bread.

In July and August we are gathering together on the south lawn for worship on Sundays at 9:00 am CDT! We are also live-streaming worship via Zoom and FB Live. We post the recording here Sunday afternoons. Older services can be viewed here.

Advent Morton Baptism

Worship

We gather at 9:00 AM on Sundays to pray, praise, lament together and hear God's good news for us and the world. We also gather on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM for Evening Prayer. We are liturgical in our worship but not overly formal.

We welcome children of all ages in worship. Come as you are. God loves you already.

In July and August, we are gathering in person on the south lawn. Others are still joining our live stream via Zoom or FB Live. After worship, we stay online for fellowship and connect with one another as a community.

Advent Serves

Advent has a heart for serving and does so through the Caring Cupboard in our parking lot, and through our connections with ministries and organizations in the Tri-County area.

We think passing our faith to younger generations is important, so we have opportunities to share faith stories and learn together.

Come join us in sharing God's love!

Becky Swanson

Bible Study

Meets first and third Thursdays at 10:00 AM in the Library (when we can meet in person).

We also meet Thursdays at 7:00 PM via Zoom. Check our Facebook page for the link or contact Pastor Becky. (School-aged children are welcome to this, too!)

A new opportunity is coming this fall! Let us know if you're interested by connecting with us!

Pastor Becky Swanson

Hello, Beloved of God! I'm so pleased to be with you as your pastor. While we are sheltering in place, I hope to get to know you by phone calls and zoom meetings.

Advent is a small-ish community of faith whose gifts are laughter, fun, and generosity. A place where each person is known and is important. If you are wondering whether Advent Lutheran is the place for you, I'd love to talk with you. We strive to be a place where people who are not sure if they belong in church can find a home.

Deacon Ellen Koester

I've been called to Advent to serve in the area of Faith Formation.

For me, it's all about relationships - God and us, others and us. While we are currently in a time when not being able to gather limits our usage of some of our regular tools, there are many more at our disposal as we continue on our faith journeys as individuals, couples, families, and community.

I would love to hear what you are doing these days. Send me an email with the link below.

Blessings,
Deacon Ellen
