Advent Lutheran Church in Morton, IL is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We invite you to "come and see" what God is up to with us!
We gather at 9:00 AM on Sundays to pray, praise, lament together, and hear God's good news for us and the world. We also gather on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM for Evening Prayer. We are liturgical in our worship, but not overly formal.
We welcome children of all ages in worship. Come as you are. God loves you already, no matter who you are.
Advent has a heart for serving and does so through the Caring Cupboard in our parking lot, and through our connections with ministries and organizations in the Tri-County area.
We think passing our faith to younger generations is important, so we have opportunities to share faith stories and learn together.
Come join us in sharing God's love!
The Divine Drama is a 9-month exploration of the Divine Narrative and Our Narrative and how those two stories connect. You are welcome to join anytime! Let us know if you're interested by connecting with us!

Hello, Beloved of God! I'm so pleased to be with you as your pastor. While we are sheltering in place, I hope to get to know you by phone calls and zoom meetings.
Advent is a small-ish community of faith whose gifts are laughter, fun, and generosity. A place where each person is known and is important. If you are wondering whether Advent Lutheran is the place for you, I'd love to talk with you. We strive to be a place where people who are not sure if they belong in church can find a home.
I've been called to Advent to serve in the area of Faith Formation.
For me, it's all about relationships - God and us, others and us. While we are currently in a time when not being able to gather limits our usage of some of our regular tools, there are many more at our disposal as we continue on our faith journeys as individuals, couples, families, and community.
I would love to hear what you are doing these days. Send me an email with the link above.
