Re-opening during COVID-19

This summer we are worshiping together on the south lawn (weather permitting) and continuing to live Zoom with people who cannot be with us in person.

We are extremely excited to be making plans to worship in our sanctuary this fall. Here's what we know so far:

We will only be open during our regular worship times of Sunday morning at 9:00 AM and Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. We will continue to offer simultaneous online worship via Zoom and FB Live.

No other portions of our ministry program will be open as we work within state guidelines.

We will have an attendance cap for services. We can safely accommodate 100 individuals within our sanctuary per worship service.

We are a smaller community right now and don't expect this will pose a problem for visitors, however, once that capacity has been reached for the service we will have to ask individuals to return home and join us online.

Important things we have been doing to get our facilities ready:

  • Screens will be used for all services. No Bibles, handouts, hymnals, or pew books will be used. You may bring your own.
  • No Busy Bags for children will be available at this time. You may bring activity bags for your own children. The nursery will not be open.
  • Plates for the offering will be available for you on your way in or out of worship.
  • No coffee or refreshments will be offered.
  • Main entrance doors will be propped open for entrance and exit before and after services.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be set-up and available for use.
  • Touchless Communion will be offered the first and third Sundays. You are asked to prepare and bring your own elements for us to consecrate together during worship. Please view the videos Pr. Becky has prepared to assist you in preparing for the Lord's Supper.

Things we ask of you in preparation:

  • Please use good judgment in whether you choose to attend.  If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, or have traveled to a place that experiencing a surge in cases, we ask that you remain home and worship with us online.
  • We ask that you wear a mask while you are in the building - we will have some available if you need one.
  • We will ask for your contact information (if we don't have it already) so that we can contact you should we discover there has been exposure.
  • Enter only through the main doors to the building (even if you have a key.)
  • Please sit with your family unit and allow space between groups. If you need assistance, please see an usher.
  • Exiting service - Pastor will dismiss row by row beginning in the back.
  • Please exit the building promptly following service.  We ask that you not congregate in the foyer/narthex.
  • Physical contact with others is discouraged.

As things are constantly changing, we will keep you updated on any changes that occur.  We are so excited to be gathering together again and look forward to worshiping with you!

Come and see.
